How do I edit or create a Brick mode?

Edited
  • Make sure you're Unbricked to edit modes and schedules

To edit or create a Brick mode:

  1. Tap the mode name under the Brick icon in the app

  2. Select the mode you'd like to edit from the list or press "Create mode" to make a new mode

  3. Tap "Edit" next to the mode name to edit its settings

  4. Select which kind of mode you'd like to create:

    1. Block - every app and website you select will be blocked when your device is Bricked

    2. Allow - only the apps and websites you select will be available when your device is Bricked

*Note that there's a limit of 50 websites and apps. If you reach 50 with a Block mode, Allow mode may be more appropriate

  5. Select the apps and websites you want to include in your mode

    1. Select the "Apps" section to use Apple's App Picker to select from the applications installed on your device

    2. Select the "Websites" section to search for websites and add them to your mode - here's a guide for blocking websites on iOS

      1. If you're creating an "Allow mode", you must select the browser app and each website you want to allow. You can select to allow all websites by using the toggle at the top of the screen

  6. When you're done, select "Save mode". You can always repeat these steps to make any changes to existing modes
