What’s the difference between Brick and Brick Night?

Edited

If Brick helps you build a daily boundary with your phone, Brick Night creates an automatic physical boundary around the space where you sleep — protecting the first and last moments of your day.

Brick lets you schedule when to block your apps. Brick Night adds a location-specific layer, activating when you’re in your chosen space during the time window you set. So if you're traveling, out of routine, or have a flexible schedule, Brick Night allows you to keep your bedroom as a set space that's Bricked when it's time for rest.

Schedules are one of our most popular ways to Brick, but a fixed schedule assumes you're in bed at the same time every night. Brick Night works on your schedule, but only when you're in your set space.

Determining which device is right for you depends on your preferences and lifestyle.

Do I need Brick for Brick Night to work?

No, both devices are standalone products that can integrate into your routine in different ways.

How do the Brick and Brick Night interact?

If your phone blocks from Brick Night, you must leave the space to Unbrick. Tapping your phone to your Brick will not work to end your Brick Night session.

If you are blocked by your Brick and enter your blocked space outside of your set Brick Night schedule, you will remain blocked under your Brick settings.

If you are blocked by your Brick and enter your blocked space during your set Brick Night schedule, the Brick Night settings will override the Brick settings until you leave your blocked space.
